These Terms cover Reminisce's mobile apps, web application, website and memory-delivery features (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
1. Using Reminisce
Reminisce lets you upload or synchronize photos, organize and revisit memories, name recurring people, receive memory emails and share selected memories. Web features include data exports and downloadable keepsake PDFs. A PDF does not include printing or physical delivery. Features and limits depend on your plan and platform.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Accepting the Terms does not give permission for external AI sharing or face recognition: those are separate choices. You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Keep your account information accurate and protect access to your sign-in provider. Upload only content you have the right to provide, and respect the privacy and rights of people pictured or named. You are responsible for your sharing instructions.
2. Free and Premium plans
Reminisce offers a free plan and optional paid Premium access. Photo counts, storage, photo-age limits and access to memories vary by plan. Web uploads and keepsake creation require Premium or another account entitlement that includes those features. Check the current limits shown in your account before choosing a plan.
Paid web subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Checkout shows the recurring price, billing interval, applicable taxes and total before you authorize payment. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew on the interval selected until canceled.
Use the billing controls in your web account settings to manage or cancel a subscription. Review the cancellation date and effect shown in the billing portal before confirming. When paid access ends, free-plan limits apply and Premium features become unavailable. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription.
Cancellation and account deletion are separate actions. Deleting your account also initiates cancellation of associated web subscriptions and deletion of account content. Canceling a subscription alone does not request account deletion.
Mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable refund and withdrawal rights, continue to apply. Contact [email protected] about billing or to exercise those rights. Material changes to paid-plan terms will be communicated before they apply, with any notice, cancellation or refund rights required by law.
3. Your content and sharing
You retain your rights in photos, names, messages and other content you provide. You give us limited permission to host, copy, process, display and transmit that content to provide the features you request, subject to your privacy choices. That permission ends when no longer needed for those purposes, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Shared memories can disclose photos, stories, your message and relevant sender information, including your selected “Me” avatar, to recipients you choose. Revoking a share stops supported future access through that share; it cannot erase emails, screenshots or downloads recipients already have. Review what you share, especially information about other people and children.
4. Automated analysis and your choices
Reminisce uses automated photo analysis and, with your separate permission, face grouping. It currently uses OpenAI to organize selected photos into memories and write titles, summaries and related information. The Privacy Policy's AI section describes the data sent to OpenAI, including reduced photos, dates, GPS coordinates where available, photo labels and scores, recurring-person identifiers and names, and context from earlier memories.
We ask for an explicit AI-sharing choice before sending your personal information for that processing. You can decline or withdraw permission in Settings. An active AI request may need to finish before withdrawal is confirmed. Once withdrawal succeeds, no new AI requests start; new AI memory generation stops. Your account and previously created memories remain accessible subject to your plan. An already transmitted request cannot be recalled.
Face grouping has its own optional permission. Declining or withdrawing it stops new face recognition and grouping without withdrawing your separate AI choice. Withdrawal does not automatically erase previously derived information. Account deletion removes associated content through the process described in the Privacy Policy.
Automated dates, places, identities, groupings and descriptions can be wrong. Review memories before relying on or sharing them. Automated screening can make mistakes and cannot guarantee that every sensitive or unsuitable image is detected.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, violate privacy or intellectual-property rights, distribute unlawful content, send abusive or unwanted shares, compromise security or disrupt other users. Do not access accounts or data without permission. Any restriction on reverse engineering applies only to the extent permitted by law.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security threats or a material breach of these Terms. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the restriction and how to contact us about it.
6. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful, reliable Service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free automated results. Keep an independent backup of photos that matter to you. Any beta or experimental feature will be identified as such.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided as available, without additional guarantees beyond those expressly made to you or required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights and liability for fraud.
7. Leaving the Service
You can stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion from Settings in the iOS app or web application. Download anything you want to keep first. Deletion follows the process and exceptions described in the Privacy Policy; it cannot retrieve copies already held by recipients.
8. Changes and contact
We may change features or these Terms as the Service develops. For material changes, we will give appropriate notice and respect existing paid commitments and mandatory consumer rights. Changes requiring fresh privacy permission will be presented separately; continued use alone does not provide that permission.
