Reminisce is built by a small independent team in Sweden. It started with a familiar discovery: a phone full of years of family photographs that nobody ever scrolled back through, and the feeling that the best of them deserved better than a folder.
What we set out to make
Not another place to store photos. Reminisce is about looking, and specifically about the kind of looking that happens when a story lands in your inbox on a quiet evening: this is what you were doing seven years ago, these are the people who were there, this is the picture you had forgotten. One story a week is enough to keep the past close without turning it into a chore.
Principles we build by
- Stories, not storage. Your originals stay on your phone or in your existing library. Reminisce reads, understands and retells; it is not a backup.
- No advertising. Reminisce is paid for by people who choose Premium. Your photos are never sold, profiled for ads or used to train anyone's models.
- Ask first. Sending photos to the AI that writes your stories is a separate choice. Grouping faces is another separate choice. Both can be declined or withdrawn in Settings.
- Yours to take away. Export your account data and original photos whenever you like, and delete your account whenever you like.
- Hosted in Europe. Photos, databases and email run on Scaleway infrastructure configured in Paris, France.
Where things stand
Reminisce is on the App Store for iPhone today, with iCloud Photos support. The Android app is coming. Premium, with web upload of old archives and keepsake PDF books, is available from the web app. We publish what the service does and does not do in plain language in our Privacy Policy and Terms.
